IM WIND – Zwischenbilanz made out of wind and sun
Stoffbahnen aus Honanseide, Samt, Nessel kombiniert mit Vorhängen alter Palazzi, Bettlaken aus Leinen einst als Mitgift erstellt, finden eine neue Bestimmung - sie vereinen sich zu einer eigenwilligen Gemeinschaft, zum Tanz im Wind.
Die Fahnen werden zwischen Bäume in Apulien gespannt, die Maße und Material sind individuell. In der Gesamtheit entstehen schwebende Wände, Bühnenbilder. Bäume bilden Tore, die den Raum zum Schauen von Licht bis Schatten und von Bewegung zu Stillstand ergänzen. Die Stoffbahnen bilden die Kraft der Natur ab und machen ihre Energie sichtbar.
Die ersten Fahnen habe ich nach 10 Monaten abgenommen, in den Innenraum geholt. Hier entfalten sie eine ganz andere Aura als in der Natur und sind doch Strandgut des Windes. Verzaubern wie unbekannte Wesen die Sehgewohnheit.
NEL VENTO - Bilancio intermedio fatto di vento e sole
Pannelli di tessuto di seta Honan, velluto, ortica combinati con tende di vecchi palazzi, lenzuola di lino un tempo create come dote, trovano un nuovo scopo: si uniscono per formare una comunità idiosincratica, per danzare nel vento.
Le bandiere sono tese tra gli alberi in Puglia, le dimensioni e il materiale sono individuali. Nel loro insieme, creano pareti fluttuanti, scenografie. Gli alberi formano cancelli che completano lo spazio per guardare dalla luce all‘ombra e dal movimento alla sosta. I pannelli di tessuto raffigurano la potenza della natura e rendono visibile la sua energia.
Dopo 10 mesi ho tolto le prime bandiere e le ho portate all‘interno. Qui dispiegano un‘aura completamente diversa rispetto a quella della natura, eppure sono flotsam e jetsam del vento. Incantando l‘abitudine visiva come esseri sconosciuti.

FABRIC/STOFFA made out of wind and sun.
Fabric panels made of Honan silk, velvet, nettle combined with curtains from old palazzi, linen bed sheets once created as a dowry, find a new purpose - they unite to form an idiosyncratic community, to dance in the wind.
The flags are stretched between trees in Apulia, the dimensions and materials are individual. Together they create floating walls, stage sets. Trees form gates that complete the space for viewing from light to shadow and from movement to stillness. The fabric panels depict the power of nature and make its energy visible.
I took down the first flags after 10 months and brought them into the interior. Here they unfold a completely different aura than in nature and yet they are the wind's flotsam and jetsam. Like unknown creatures, they enchant the way we see them.
